ESSE – Energetic Synthesis of Structural Embodiment.
ESSE combines the verbal tools and energy processes of Access Consciousness® and hands on soft-tissue manipulation, targeting the connective fascial tissue located throughout the whole body.
ESSE body work facilitates the unwinding of the dynamic changeable fascia throughout the body from the cellular level to the major body systems. ESSE can be perceived as a deep tissue work as well as energy work, combined with movement unwinding of the body.
The Wonderful World of ESSE
Why is it wonderful? As a Practitioner, you experience change right under your fingertips. You feel bodies move and release and open up to a space that it hasn’t been able to open up to for years or for some, even lifetimes. Physical and emotional trauma just releases and what is left in its place is a sense of peace, calm and a space for other possibilities.
Bodies are lighter, happier and more energetic and the structure of the body can change.
All bodies in fact, humans and animals benefit from this body work.
ESSE for Horses
“One of the GREATEST Gifts the animals give to us is the way they receive from us without question, without judgment, and without limitation”. – Gary Douglas.
All bodies desire optimal movement without restriction or pain. Horses bodies are no different and their bodies often get tense or have a limited range of movement due to lots of things. For example, injury, trauma, overwork, or even taking things out of their owner’s bodies, including their points of view and judgements. All of these things and many more can impact the well-being and performance of horses.
Using the Access Consciousness body & verbal processes along with the ESSE techniques can have dramatic and lasting effects on horses in a relatively short time.
Horses can walk different, hold their head higher, are more alert and vibrant even if they are 30 years old. So many ailments, injuries or behaviours can be changed. It really is, to see is to believe!
Below is a video clip about the ESSE. I am so grateful to Suzy Godsey & Glenna Rice, who facilitated this class. They have so much awareness and knowledge about bodies, both horses & humans.
Enjoy!
